Preparing for Your Appointment

Before your visit, you may receive specific instructions from your doctor or our staff, depending on the type of scan you’re having. Preparation steps may include:

  • Removing metal items such as jewelry, watches, hairpins, or clothing with zippers or snaps.
  • Bringing previous imaging results or relevant medical records for comparison.

What to Bring

To help your appointment go smoothly, please bring:

  • A valid photo ID and insurance card.
  • Your physician’s referral form (if required).
  • A list of current medications.
  • Any prior imaging studies relevant to your exam.

What to Expect During Your Visit

When you arrive at Prestige Diagnostic Imaging, our licensed AART technologists will greet you and guide you through the process. Here’s what to expect:

  • Check-In: You’ll confirm your information and review any pre-scan instructions.
  • Preparation: Depending on your exam, you may need to change into a gown.
  • Scan: Our SIGNA™ Hero 3T MRI and other advanced imaging systems provide fast, accurate scans — often completed in as little as 12 minutes.
  • Post-Scan: Once the scan is complete, the images are sent to credentialed radiologists for interpretation. Your referring physician will receive the results and discuss them with you.

Our team is trained to make every step as comfortable as possible. The SIGNA Hero features a wide bore, AIR™ Coils, and noise-reducing technology for a more relaxed experience.

Your safety and comfort are top priorities. MRI is a non-invasive and radiation-free procedure that uses a strong magnetic field to create detailed images of your body. The SIGNA Hero MRI offers:

Insurance and Payment Information

Prestige Diagnostic Imaging accepts most major insurance plans. Before your appointment, our staff can verify your coverage and help you understand your benefits. If you do not have insurance, we offer competitive self-pay rates and payment options.

Please bring your insurance card and any required pre-authorization forms to your appointment to avoid delays.

Same-Day Appointments and Accessibility

We know that timing matters. That’s why we offer same-day appointments whenever possible and are open seven days a week to accommodate your schedule. Our facility is designed to be accessible and convenient for all patients.

After Your MRI

After your scan, you can return to your normal activities unless instructed otherwise by your physician. Your images will be reviewed by credentialed radiologists, and results will be sent to your referring doctor, who will contact you with the findings.

If your doctor recommends additional imaging or follow-up tests, our team will be available to schedule those appointments promptly.
